There are three types of pages available to create: public, password protected and private.
- Public pages are visible to all users of the site.
- Password protected pages are only visible to users who have the password for the page; this password is created by the creator of the page.
- Private pages are invisible pages that are only visible to Editors and Administrators. These pages can’t be found in any search and aren’t visible in the Reader or in any feeds. A page can be made private
To set a a password protected page the following steps must be taken:
- Create the ‘Page‘.
- Click the ‘Edit‘ button next to the word ‘Visibility‘ located in the publish menu box on the right hand side of the screen.
- Choose ‘Password protected‘ in the new menu that appears below the word ‘Visibility‘.
- Insert the desired password in the textbox labeled ‘Password‘.
- Click OK.
- Click ‘Publish‘/’Update‘.
After following these steps the only people able to view this stage will have to be given the password by the creator of the page. Once the page is first accessed and the password input, the user will be be able to securely save the password to the browser. This will then allow the user to access the page multiple times without having to enter the password each time.
